Info from Ted Powell Memorial w/e organisers

We would like to thank you for your series participation in the 2012 Ted Powell Memorial Race Weekend (http://www.mco.org/cms/index.php/tprw) at the fantastic Calabogie Motorsports Park (http://www.calabogiemotorsports.com) on September 1-2. It will be a spectacular weekend, with a full slate of formula, GT and Vintage classes from Ontario and Quebec, headlined by the Canadian Touring Car Championship.

The weekend starts with a lapping evening, Thursday August 30, 17:00-19:00. The registration URL ishttp://www.karelo.com/register.php?BID=269&BT=10#Ev11986.

On Friday, August 31, we have a full test day for open and closed wheel classes. The sessions will be about 30 minutes, alternating between open and closed wheel. The weekend will be held under ASN Canada FIA (http://asncanada.com) GCR for Canadian Touring Car Championship and the CASC-OR (http://casc.on.ca) General Competition Rules (http://www.casc.on.ca/sites/default/files/2012_casc-or_gcr.pdf) and Race Regulations (http://www.casc.on.ca/sites/default/files/2012_race_regulations.pdf) for the Regional Classes. The GT classes are covered by Appendix 'Q', Section H: http://www.casc.on.ca/sites/default/files/2012_appendix_q_section_f_grand_touring_cars.pdf. The 60-minute GT Challenge race is governed by the Race Regulation (see link above), Appendix 'U'.

The scrutineering hours are Friday 13:00, Saturday 08:00 and Sunday 08:00. It will close on Friday at 19:00 and on other days after the last race. Scrutineering will be open on Thursday upon request only. Please have your series Chief Scrutineer contact Mary to arrange the details for the weekend. With a large number of entries expected, paddock space will be very tight. While we will attempt to accommodate all requests, we need your cooperation to move non-essential equipment (such as tow vehicles) to the overflow lot in the quarry. Don will need details about the estimated arrival times and required paddock space. The most common spaces requests are 20x20 feet and 20x40 feet.
